Jo-Ann is a very experienced, well trained remedial massage therapist. She has over 30 years experience and knowledge. She likes to ensure you get the deepest relaxation, however getting the body to regeneration from each treatment. During her many years as a massage therapist she has studied a wide range of sport modalities, including sport and exercise, Yoga, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Acupressure, Trigger Point Release therapy, Hot and Cold Stone therapy, doTERRA Aromatouch technique just to name a few. Heated Stone Massage
Heated stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation. This treatment can promote deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body. Heated stone massage therapy relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to their deeper muscle layers. This is a very healing and effective experience.
The heated stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body.
The heated stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
Chilled Stones can be placed to help reduce inflammation in areas.

Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage helps you take valuable time out for yourself and connect with your body and your growing baby. It reduces swollen, painful legs and feet, reduces muscle cramps and back pain and calms the nervous system, aiding comfortable sleep.
Care is taken to use softer massage techniques in the first trimester and many women request firmer massage during the second and third trimester as the pelvis and spine start to move and shift.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a science based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all glands, organs, parts and systems of the body. The physical act of applying pressure using thumb, finger and hand techniques to these reflex areas results in the reduction of stress which promotes physiological changes in the body.
When the therapist feels congestion or stagnation or the client reports sensation, then that area or point is worked more specifically with deeper pressure.
Reflexology is different to massaging the feet. In some clients they can feel the change in their body at the time of treatment.
